Kim challenged us this week to stamp an image without using black, brown or white. Well I'm in a mojo funk, so a stampin' buddy suggested that I try a new technique. A couple of Twinkling H2Os were on my stamping table, so I decided to use them. I have used twinkling H2O's often, but never to color nearly an entire image. Son number 3 is in Japan, OnyxXpressions stamps really lend themselves to this technique and mine feel particularly unloved so I chose this image. Stamped in Brocade Blue and painted as best I could, taking a few artistic liberties. Highlighted mountain tops with white gel pen and stickles. Matted on some Kioshi paper, then on an Artichoke card run through a bamboo EF.
Thanks so much for looking and have a peaceful day.

Marzi, you nailed this one. What a fantastic array of colors. It does remind me of Monet too. I heard your son is in Japan. My sister and her family are there too. About 2 hours away from Tokyo. I wish they would come home, but they are sticking it out right now. I pray for everyone there!

Marzi, this is BEAUTIFUL!! Did the new technique give your mojo a jolt? I'd say you nailed it--on your first try. Yay for you!! I'm concerned about your son being in Japan. I had no idea. Is he OK?
