I thought about today's challenge of making a card personal for someone special all day today. I used one of my two favorite techniques, and I made the words love you much my focal point. In the last two months, I have lost one friend to suicide, another to a brain tumor, and then this past weekend I got the shock of hearing that one of my dear friends from NY lost her husband unexpectedly to a massive heart attack. I kept thinking I would like to make the most beautiful card ever for my sweet friend who shares my love of stamping but of course no card seems good enough. When I saw the awesome colors in the challenge this week I decided to combine challenges. No card is pretty enough for this - but then no card will heal the wound of having your husband and best friend by your side one minute and gone the next. We really need to embrace the truth that we are just passing thru this life, on the way to our heavenly home. My dear friends Susie, Mary Ann, and now Roger are safe in the arms of Jesus....but what huge gaps they leave here. I hope this card will bring my dear friend just a small amount of comfort.

How deeply sad Karen. I mean to loose so many loved ones in a short period of time. The only consolation be it minute for now,is that they do walk with Jesus, but it doesn't take the heartache for a second. I know your friend will be moved by your card, especially if she is a cardmaker herself. I just can't find the right words Karen. So sorry for your losses. I send you huge hugsxo

Your card is Beautiful, Karen...as always..
So so sorry for all the sorrow you have been going through. Your post made me fill up :(
My brother also had a massive heart attack recently and passed away at the age of 50, leaving behind a wife and 2 kids. And I just lost an old friend to liver cancer.
Your friend will know when she receives your card, your thoughts and love are with her

Oh Karen, This is gorgeous. The addition of black really helps to balance this color combo.
