I made this for todays limited supply challenge. Let me tell you, IT WAS A CHALLENGE!!!!!
OMG, I had such difficulty with this challenge. I don't do many technique challenges, because, it's not my thing, and I figure what will I do with it? Plus, I'm not good at them!
I had a hard time understanding the directions, I swear I must have read step 4, about 5 times before I understood what it was telling me to do, going back looking at the pictures, that sort of thing. I finally figured it out, about an hour later.
I used pink pirouette as my base. once everything was cut and scored, I rolled stars and swirls in pretty in pink across the whole thing, the long way. Then I went over it with my hearts roller in mambo, I did this at an angle upwards, the short way.
Once I got it assembled, I thought it was way too pink, so I grabbed my heart punch and real red and punched several hearts.
I found this ribbon I hadn't ever used I think, so I added it for a little contrasting color, it still has pink and red in it. At first I tied it in a ribbon then added my red hearts to the ribbon, but I felt it needed something.
So I grabbed my "holiday best" stamp set, and stamped Happy Valentines day in ruby red. I punched it using my scalloped punch. I don't have a larger one, so I punched twice in real red, at first I thought I would just overlap them, then I had them laying there, and lo-and-behold, I saw a heart! So I made them into a heart, and put the sentiment across the newly created heart.
I then untied my ribbon, and tied it into a knot instead, grabbed a pop dot, and planted my new heart on top of my knotted ribbon!
WOW! That was a lot of work!!! I highly doubt if I will venture with this challenge again, cuz it is very stressful for me, lol.
Enjoy your day ladies, tfl!

You probably don't feel like it, but it looks like time well spent. It is LOVELY! I had to make one with computer paper first so I wouldn't waste good DP. I found some of it bewildering too! You are not alone!
