Ok... I probably shouldn't post these, BUT the one IS stamped and I really need some feedback!! I wanted to "try" to make Halloween hair bows for my Granddaughters. Of course, I have no idea what I'm doing, so thought I'd practice with the ribbon I have and just do it like a bow I'd make for a card... kinda. lol This is what I came up with. I did the black one first and stamped the spider from PTI Spooky Sweets onto white shrink plastic, punched it out with my scallop punch and added the dots before shrinking. I made 2 separate bows, each one "cinched" in the center with embroidery floss, then hot glued the top one to the bottom one and stitched thru them for added security. I hot glued the spider in the center. The Orange bow was made the same way, but for the pumpkin in the center, I used an orangish button, sponged it with Pumpkin Pie, added the dashes and glued on googly eyes. Then I sprayed it a couple of times with sealer. I kinda cut the tails a bit short on that one, but I'm just learning. I need to practice A LOT, but I think they turned out kinda cute for my 1st attempt! What do you think? Comments and suggestions REALLY appreciated!! The pic's not that good... it's dark and rainy here, I couldn't find anything to clip these to & the ones I took of them sitting on the counter didn't turn out.
*I just realized my pumpkin looks like a basketball! LOL It had a "thingy" at the top when I did the button the first time, but I didn't seal it and everything rubbed off. I guess I forgot to put it on the second time! Now I have to find something to stick on there! LOL
