These color challenges are so hard for me. I wasn't going to play today. I had to choose between cleaning out my very messy truck, or make a card. The card won! LOL There were a lot of other things that should have been done too, but I really needed a Thank You card. So......
This card was made for the wonderfully sweet, sometimes crazy Anne Ryan! P.S. Don't tell her.
I used one of the many circle nesties she recently sent to me. I stamped my image with whisper white and clear eb'd it. Put a negative circle over it and sponged groovy guava. Then Put the cut out circle on top and sponged sahara sand. Cut out and doodled edges, and popped this up on the nestie which I sponged the edges on.
The background paper was homemade. I made a stencil out of cs, and sponged the three different colored stripes on a rectangle of whisper white. I then sponged the edges and stamped the little flowers on opposit corner, clear eb'ing them.
Put this all on a white card......this is a little plain, but as my son said "sometimes plain looks good." So, what do you think?......TFL :0)
Hi Sis! *sorry, another card not coming your way.*

I'm glad you decided not to clean the truck Cathy LOL! I wouldn't say it was plain either, I love it and you've come up with another great idea with sponging the stripes, it looks really great and is a fantastic way to do the colour challenge. Love those nesties you got from Anne and I know she'll love your beautiful card.

Wow! I'm in awe of you and how you made this gorgeous striped bg paper!!! I don't think I'd have the patience or time! But then again, Anne deserves the very best and I know she'll love this! I love the embossed image in the center and the little flowers in the corners. Just one exceptional card!
