This is for today's sketch challenge, as well as a dare challenge I do with a group of friends. Francie G. challenged us to make an outdoor scene card.
I colored my image with watercolor wonder crayons and blender pen. The bear is cut out and popped up with his head resting on the sleeping bag (which is cut out of the box) His bear butt appears to be dangerously close to the fire, but don't worry, it's not at risk for catching fire. He's just trying to keep warm. I used white acrylic paint for the tiny dotted stars.

Well, I'm at my condo in Steamboat, and have an appreciation for the bears right now...but I prefer them sleeping under the stars as this one is,, to chasing after my dog!
Your stars remind me of a children's storybook illustration, this entire card does...wonderful whimsical feel Charlene!

Thank GOODNESS you clarified the proximity of the bear's booty to the fire! I was terribly worried for him and even considered notifying PETA!!! LOL
Another wowser of a card from you.. Love that cute little image.. and gee whiz, if he is so cold why doesn't he unroll that sleeping bag??? hummmmm..

Oh so sweet, that bear is one of my fave new images I have been seeing the past few weeks....I LOVE how he's snuggled up to that sleeping bag! Great color and design!
