I'm still on the Tag Time kick using the technique challenge and a favorite color combo I haven't used in a while.
I used one of my cereal box stencils for this: start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of (cereal box) cardboard. Cut out desired shape - mine is just 1" from top and sides and 2 1/4" from bottom, leaving a 2 1/4" square. If you don't have a stylus you can use the rounded part of a F or G crochet hook (or similar household tool) to dry emboss. Since the shape is simple and the stencil is the size of your card, no light source is necessary.
Update 9/28: I swapped this card at Mpls regionals using the verse from Many Merry Messages that includes the words "merry" and "bright" on the inside.

I have to tell you I have not been able to get your card for this TLC77 challenge off my mind. I love the simplicity of it. I searched my quilt room and found some chipboard templates I had bought years ago and never used. They were made for applique. There are lots of hearts and stars. I guess being pretty new at all of this I thought you could only do dry embossing with the brass templates. So if in the next few days if you see some dry embossed stars or hearts in the Gallery. It's thanks to you.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
