This card is for friends who are leaving on a missionary assignment, we don't know their destination yet, so I made a general scenic landscape inspired by this path here: http://designarchives.aiga.org/#/ent...-valkenburgh/1 .
After stamping the curvy road, I sponged the background colors in, then stamped the autumn trees. Sponged more colors on the tree foliage areas. I spritzed some water (Central Theme & MIX64 challenges) onto the sky, tree foliage and path to vary color intensity. I used a little dots stamp for the tree leaves (TLC pointillism challenge)...there that's my secret out for those wondering how I got my trees to look like this!
Finally, I used a white gel pen along the tree trunks where the sun would shine, and also added flowers on one of the trees. Then added some flowers in one corner using white gel pen, gold gelly pen, and a green & brown fineliner. The sentiment is a scripture from Isaiah, printed on the computer then die cut into a banner.
