This is for a double challenge, Monday's CAS, Wishing for Spring, and Tuesday's Color Challenge, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Soft Suede, and the "dessert" is to include a critter.
So, my young golden retriever's name just happens to BE Spring, and he just happens to have a birthday this week! In this card he is asleep in his doghouse (in reality, he sleeps in bed with us!) and dreaming of his birthday wish, a string of meaty bones to fall from the sky into his doggie dish! He will, in fact, enjoy a big, juicy marrow bone for his special birthday treat.
The card is only 2 layers, Pale Plum, and layered onto a card base of Perfect Plum. The bones and dog are stamped onto something I think looks like Soft Suede, since I don't have that exact color. I've watercolored the dog and doghouse with SU markers, coated them with Diamond Glaze, and popped them up for dimension. The bones I sprayed with gold webbing spray, then clear glaze, and punched them out with a dog bone punch, strung them onto some gold cord. Aren't they "rich" looking!
Yes, it's Spring's birthday card, but in reality, it will go to a very dear "doggie friend" of mine who needs some encouragement to follow her dreams.
Not quite as simple as it started out to be, I hope you like it anyway. I really did have fun making this card! Thanks for looking!
Hugggs!

How very fun!! I love how you incorporated the challenge colors into your scene. The "soft suede" dog biscuits are inspired!! Super job with your watercoloring and diamond glazing. Excellent work on this
