It's funny, I thought to myself, you need to start your Christmas cards early (I tried to do a few in January/February, but none since#, so I decided to try to use the MMSC9 as a Christmas card. You can find the MMSC9 challenge here:
They have great prizes associated with their challenges and their sketches are great fun!
I then noticed that the WT226 challenge was thinking what I was thinking - Christmas cards in July. Great minds think alike! So, I ended up with 2 challenges in this card.
I used A Wish For Peace stamp set #SU#, watercolored with old olive and close to cocoa water color crayons, added dazzling diamonds among the trees and church and ran it through the swiss dots ef. I then draped 2 ribbons around each corner of the image and added red rhinestones. I used Holiday Treasures DSP #SU) for the b/gs on each layer and ran them through the snowflake ef for more texture. You may not be able to see if too good in the photo. In accordance with the sketch, I added 5 large eyelets with fibery ribbon coming out of each one decorated with a red rhinestone. On the greeting, I just lined a row of mini red rhinestones with the greeting in the middle rather than using a ribbon. I thought it gave it a little different look.
That's about it. Thanks for stopping by and looking and if you have a chance, let me know what you think!!

I'm with Marisa - how did I miss this one?!? Must be a subliminal thing - we finally have a taste of summer so I'm blocking out the thought of a cold weather and winter ahead... As I've come to expect, this is a wonderful creation - so much detail and gorgeousness!

OOOHH, girl that fiber is just delighting me over here, being the textile girl that I are! What a great take on 2 challenges.
I might be a tad jealous that you are already making holiday cards, too! I've made 30 or so to sell, but my heart just isn't in it yet.
Your coloring is just as magnificent as ever. Beautiful!
