This is fun but messy - I have little patience and doing the Poppin' Pastel technique with Craft ink requires it. I hate waiting until it's dry before I can finish the card! So ya, I always end up making a mess and I am covered in Craft Ink and Pastels, oh well.

I tried this technique and all went well until I went to put the "second" stamp or "outline" stamp onto the daisy. It picked up all the chalk and made my white look very dull. So my question is do you stamp the background image in white, let it dry, apply your chalks and then let it sit even longer before you put the final details on the card in white. What am I doing wrong? By the time I'm done my black looks dull as do my images.

happystamper72,
I let the image dry a bit after I stamped it the first time but not completely b/c I wanted the pastels to stick to it. After I applied the pastels I heat set it just in case b/c it seemed like the ink was still wet (craft ink takes FOREVER to dry) Then I stamped the image on top. Now that I've done a few cards like this I know to check the stamp after I stamp over the first time b/c it will pick up SOME pastel and I'm more concerned about wrecking my white ink pad. I've noticed too that the overlying image sometimes "absorbes" some of the pastel colors and isn't purely white but I like it that way - makes a little more quirky. HTH and practice makes perfect (I have decades to get there )

Thank you so much for posting your beautiful card. I have made it and absolutely love having something to do with White Craft other than make snowflakes. My customers are going to go wild. CASE'd with love.
