This is for the WT96 challenge to use watercolor paper. I have been really enjoying painting simple farm and country scenes. I love this long spouted watering can and gloves and just wanted them to be the main focal point instead of trying to add flowers. I used Sahara Sand on the can and then aged with Mustard for rust. I sketched the fence with an artist pen and and watercolored with reinkers. I used a large dry brush with tacky reinker to stipple on the ground area with Olive and Caramel. Then I used a small watercolor brush to create the grass and put in a little dirt with Itty Bitty Bg. I sponged the grass line with Barely Banana to add light around it and then used the cloud template to create the sky with a sponge and Bashful Blue. I wanted to use the gingham that matched the gloves to add to the country look and used only a knot instead of bow. I cut out the gloves and popped them up just to add another dimension. I have hard time remembering to add hardware or use my corner punches to create more interest in my layouts but I did remember tonight and I love the added touch.

Gosh Kittie, this challenge was just made for you. Love your scene with the gloves and watering can as your focal point. Beautifully done.......like your corners too! TFS
