Country Door is the great site that Brenda (Benzi) selected for her Inspiration Challenge today. She was right; the site is filled with many goodies! Great selection, Brenda!
This "Bunny in Basket" is my inspiration piece. The inspiration piece is bunnies in baskets. Instead of bunnies in baskets, I created a bunny with a basket for my image.
To create the card, I used copics to color the background on a white piece of cardstock. Then I colored the bunny with its basket of eggs using colored pencils and copics and die cut it. I attached it to the background with one layer of foam tape.
There are two overlay panels that I made using the SSS Tulip Collage Die. For the first panel, I only colored with copics the tulips, tree, and leaves and left the remainder white. I decided I did not like all the white space that resulted from just coloring the items I colored; therefore, I created another tulip collage panel. I used a piece of white cardstock and began coloring with copics (many colors) and then Distress Oxide inks. I continued to apply inks until I was content with the panel.
Then I used the colored cardstock to die cut another tulip collage panel. I removed the tulips from the die cut. I was not happy with that so I used an oval die to cut an oval from the outer edges of the tulip collage. Guess what? I was not happy with that either. Therefore, I glued that back in when I glued this panel to the first tulip collage panel. I attached the glued panels over the bunny with two layers of foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and attached the panels to a top-fold card base. And that's all folks!
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment!

What a truly charming Easter card this is Bev. I adore all the springtime colors and the way you have tucked this bunny behind the flowers, aperture and tree makes it seem like he is doing a great job hiding this wonderful basket of goodies for some little one. You hung in there with this one and it yielded a fantastic Easter card! ~Karen.
