A big CONGRATS to Susan (One4Joy), the newest Featured Stamper! I've been a fan of Susan's for a long time and I love her wonderful thoughtfulness and quirky style. I confess, it was hard for me to case her, lol. I chose THIS beautiful card to case. So my attempt is as close as my style could get. I kept the same layout and big circle element, but I used different images, different embossing folder and added a bow instead of the felt snowflake border.
I embossed the lovely ornament w/ a sparkly black/green powder onto a shimmery mint green card stock & die cut it w/ the coordinating die. The shimmery dark green card stock was embossed w/ a multi image folder, but I only used one section & moved it around to selectively emboss the same snowflake line three times. I added two die cut mint green borders on top & bottom w/ the greeting stamped on the lower one. The ribbon for the bow was colored w/ Copics to match.
Congrats again, Susan, enjoy your week! It's also on my blog: The Write Stuff

Wow, Julie, am I ever honored to have you case me! And I love how you said, "as close as my style could get". That's staying true to your own calling as an ARTist.
That big, bold ornament looks like I can just reach toward the screen and pull it off your card, I love sparkle on the orb and that awesome big fluffy bow. Such balance, scale, and depth...in the very best Julie sorta way!
Thank you for playing in my gallery today, old friend, smile!
