Today's Technique Lovers' Challenge was to use one of the technique challenges of 2012. This was a great opportunity for me to use my favourite new technique from 2012 - one I learned because of the challenge. It is TLC364 - Wrinkle Free Distress. I love the backgrounds that can be made using this - it's so easy and so much fun as every piece comes out differently.
For this card, I used watercolour paper with Distress inks - two greens and a red - only a tiny bit of the red ended up on this card as I chose the section I most liked from my end result.
It's a perfect technique for a collage stamp or a silhouette stamp. I stamped in black and then ran the black inkpad around the edges of the watercolour paper to give it a bit of definition from the card base. It's mounted on dimensionals.
I added red gemstones to the holly and clear ones to the mistletoe
It's also for my January quota for the Christmas Card Challenge.
