Hi everyone!! I took today off and was able to spend some time in my stamproom - YIPPEEE!!
This card is for two challenges - Our Daily Bread SLC113, and this weeks Tuesday Teapot Challenge. I love the teapotters but have so little time to stamp lately that I rarely get to play. Glad to be here today !!
The Teapotters challenge link is here: {Tuesday Teapot Challenge – Nautical Theme}. Many of the cards made for this challenge will go to fellow teapotters because it's 'Tickle a Teapotter' week, however this card is going to a very special Uncle in NJ - and as far as I know he's not a teapotter.
ODBD's challenge link is here: {ODBD SLC113} - and it's to use three or more stamps on the front of your card. I used the lighthouse and sentiment from Keep My Lamp Burning, and one small Seagull from SU's Uncharted Territory set (it's the segull to the right of the lighthouse). I hope this qualifies!
The image is stamped twice in Midnight Muse, the second lighthouse was carefully cut-out and mounted/popped over the main image. The background was sponged in Summer Starfruit around the light, Baja Breeze around the sea and sky, and a bit of Sahara Sand to give the lighthouse some depth. The dark background panel is embossed with SU!'s new Argyle EF, then lightly colored over using a Craft White stampad (to give it a sanded look). The flourish details were added and the entire card was spritzed with White Spritz - hard to see on the photo but it gives the card a shimmery/dewy look.
Thanks for the great challenges - and thank you everyone for taking a look.
Hugs,
Audrey
