Today's Ways to Use It Challenge asked us to use b/w newsprint somewhere on our card. I have been working on cleaning up my desk after making oodles of cards last month for the HYCCT challenges and I've been using up the leftovers. I had made a card with similar colors and the blue heart and had a heart leftover. I made a scallop flower out of newspaper cutting petals into the scallop circle and sponging the edges. I layered 2 XL scallops with 2 scallops and added a button with crochet thread. My card base is Soft Sky stamped with the Canvas bg stamp in Night of Navy. I inked the negative side of the Vintage Wallpaper ef with Bayou Blue and embossed a piece of white cs then sponged the edges. I layered Baja Breeze seam binding with some more of the crochet thread. Layered an oval sentiment on a designer label sponged on the edges and the heart over a circle. In these muted colors, I went with a "I care" kind of sentiment...could go for a sympathy or general caring card.

Those blues are fabulous; feeling blue or not, I find it a calming peaceful colour. And your flower is fabulous.
(moved it over into Curvy Verses for you ).
