This week our cards are going out to Charlotte in Everett Washington. Charlotte really needs her spirits lifted,so the wonderful Tea Party Ladies are taking the Party to her.
I found a house for Will and Kate
the appointment's at nine, don't be late.
You could call it a fixer upper
But please don't forget my supper.
It's a little better than a shack
would you be so kind and fix me a snack?
This little fixer upper is a bi-level house. There's some old wallpaper inside that needs removing, the windows need a little repair, but I'm sure Will and KAte are up to it.
This house is made with strips of wood grained c/s that I cut and labeled so I could get the grain to align. The shingles for the roof are of the same kind of wood grained c/s with each shingle attached. If I ever build my own house, I know how to do these parts. hehe
You can see one of my windows is a little off kilter (like me), so that is where the fixer upper comes in. My bushes are from a nesties large circle scalloped die with liquid pearls for the flowers. I even made a for sale sign to put out front. I'm the realtor. The door is made with leather textured c/s. The windows are acetate, with pretty c/s used for the wallpaper which covers my mess on the backside.
Hopefully Charlotte will know that this is a fixer upper, being she was a realtor.
Charlotte, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Fellow Tea Potters, I am on my way to visit my Cousin who has been dealing with breast cancer and a brain tumor for the past 6 years. Then I am off to spend a week with my Mom. She gets me for Mother's Day! Better yet, I get her!!!
So I more than likely won't be looking at the gallery at least until Mother's Day. Much to my dismay.
I wish all of you the very Happiest Mother's Day!

Thanks for listing all the details Jennifer. What a lot of work this sounds like. Great card and I love that it's a fixer-upper! I'm sure Charlotte will love and appreciate every detail!

I love this - it my be a fixer upper, but you put a lot of detail work into this fabulous card. Even a for sale sign and flowers on the shrubs. Awesome!!
