For today's sketch challenge, SC272, and this week's StampinB challenge, to make a spring or Easter card.
The panel of "DP" on the far right is actually daisy-printed fabric, stitched down with my sewing machine. I made the ribbon blossom using an adaptation of the instrux found here: http://limelightpapercrafts.blogspot...-tutorial.html
Instead of using glue dots as instructed (my first attempt at a ribbon loop and button flower was *way* too thick from all of the glue dots stacked up!), I stitched down my ribbon loops to a circle of stiff interfacing. Much flatter result!!
The leftmost panel of "DP" was actually stamped by me right on my white card base. My Easter bunny image was colored using inks and Stampin' Pastels and a blender pen.
Feels good to finally have my first Easter card done!! This was such a fun one. I loved using my sewing machine in multiple ways for it!!
Thanks for looking!
Emily
