For today's LSC, we were to make a masculine card. No frills, no bling, no flowers. I had the perfect card yesterday. Oh well, I made another using a different elephant image from the same set as yesterday. All images are FireCracker Designs.
I stamped the elephant three times on three colors of c/s w/ the chocolate ink. Just a hint of shading and highlighting was added w/ markers and a white gel pen. They were cut out and attached w/ foam tape to a rust colored panel. The rust panel was punched all around the edge w/ a border punch which has a double row of tiny holes. I used a needle & thread to add the stitching using these holes. The rust layer is attached to dp, another rust layer then a tan card.
The sentiment was punched w/ a tag punch and a attached to rust layer trimmed to fit. The sun medallion was assembled from 3 sizes of the same image stamped on three colors of c/s and layered together. One part of the dp was cut out and attached to upper right for a non-girly embellishment.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them

Love the wild things bent you've taken recently! I especially love this in the way you've presented your elephants. Sketched and designed with such artistry. Perfect dp with your images and your dp and embellie are spot on! Beautiful!

Julie, how fabulous is this! I've spent some time looking at your hand stitching and am wondering what that stitch is called. I've not seen it before. Wow, what a fabulous card this is; so much work; so many details; such a great design too.
