Thanks Stef for another great IC! I got excited when I saw this set of paper lantern lights : http://www.pbteen.com/products/p2263....cfm?pkey=fgfu
I loved the color scheme, and what's more, they made me think of balloons! I wanted to use my dragon cupid for a Valentine for my hubby, and one thing led to another, and I came up with this card today. I think he'll get a kick out of it, because it looks like Cupid wants to shoot down the balloons instead of doing his job of piercing hearts with love! lol Mr. Mischief he is!
I watercolored the sky background, and the dragon cupid with artist watercolors, and used Twinkling H20's on the heart balloons. The dragon is cut out and popped up. Some of the balloons are popped up, others are not. I painstakingly tied thread onto each of them (bleah, time consuming and finicky!) and glued the threads down after twisting them together.
My idea for the scrolls came from flaxychick who used a scroll for her sentiment on this card: SC211 - It's a Cupcake Kind of Day! by flaxychick at Splitcoaststampers Isn't it gorgeous!?
The sketch is this week's SC from Roxy. Its so fun to work with!

Just had to put this one in my favorites; I have no idea why ... there's no way on earth I could ever recreate this one, girl! It's priceless and just totally so adorable. Fabulous coloring; fabulous card.
