I challenged my double dare challenge group this week to make a Christmas in July card using the SU color Brocade Blue and Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday sketch challenge #45. If you'd like to see the cards the other's made, click here:
For my card, I stamped the various sized pinetree stamps from my Kittie Kit's Scene #2 stamp set in the bg onto watercolor paper. I then daubered Bashful Blue and Brocade Blue for the sky. I pressed the bottom half of the bg cs into white craft ink and heat embossed for my snow. Stamped and heat embossed the falling snowflakes.
I used my MS lace border punch on the Brocade Blue strip and sponged white craft ink around those edges. I rock and rolled my Lovely As a Tree image in Mellow Moss and Handsome Hunter and then adhered the brads and sponged these edges in Brocade Blue.
I purchased the adorable snowman ribbon at a really cool lss in Colorado last year when I visited Mothermark and Tracim.
Julee is offering blog candy for this particular sketch challenge, if you want to check it out here:

Absolutely stunning!!!!! I love the snowy row of trees in the background and everything else about this card.
I haven't forgotten about the challenge, I am waiting on the arrival of a Christmas set that I am planning on using. If it's not here by tomorrow, I'll resort to Plan B

Lovely, lovely colors, layout, EB, stamped ribbon, lace edge and main image with the brads. Very creative and even with the snow it has a warm feeling because of your colors. Great job on your challenge. TFS
