This is fun but messy - I have little patience and doing the Poppin' Pastel technique with Craft ink requires it. I hate waiting until it's dry before I can finish the card! So ya, I always end up making a mess and I am covered in Craft Ink and Pastels, oh well.

To Cindy Tschider and ctracy, Poppin' Pastels is just a simple technique using VersaMark, the pastels, and a sponge (I always use SU's sponge daubers - makes things easier) All you do is stamp you image with VersaMark then dab pastels on the image with a sponge. The pastels stick to the VersaMark, and give the image a soft, chalky look. I always blow off the excess pastel powder or use my brush from my powder pals to get the ex. powder off. HTH

HappyStamper21 was correct in that is how Poppin' Pastels is done on light colored card stock. On dark card stock you can stamp using the White Craft ink. You then allow it to dry or speed up the process with a heat tool, then apply pastels over the top. The colors are much more vibrant (like with this card) when the white ink is used versus the VersaMark. HTH
