I made this one for Ways to Use It Challenge 121, which calls for using a stylus to dry emboss. I stamped white-core cardstock by CTMH on the backside with the two of the flowers from Friendship Flowers in VersaMark. I rubbed the VersaMarked images (VM side up) with my stylus, using a mousepad for a slightly cushioned surface. Then I turned the cardstock over and rubbed the raised images with a sandpaper block to create the 'white' flowered background. For the verse panel, I wanted to continue with the shabby chic look, so I created small borders around the WW and the dp with the same CTMH cardstock, and then pierced those cardstock panels, backside up so that the rough side of the piercing would be on the 'good side.' I then roughed the good side up with the sandpaper block. I really like the effect it created. Wouldn't it be awesome if SU would make some white core CS in addition to its standard CS?
Thanks for looking!

This is so cool! I just love it. I am going to hunt through my stash of paper for some white-core paper so I can try this. Thanks for the inspiration! This is a beautiful card. I just love it!

Oh that turned out wonderful. I saw that technique last night when I was going through the new CTMH catalog! I didn't even think to try it for todays challenge. Well done!!
