This is for WT118 to make a square card. WooHoo!!! I'm getting to play tonight with a set that Sherry, Jeanne and Kim picked out for me and gave as a gift. What a sweet gift iit is, too! I am intrigued by these headless people. I wanted to use Fabriano watercolor paper to create my square card. I love to mask off the scene area as I think the plain frame makes all the colors pop. I just had to try and put these guys on a sidewalk that was not necessarily manicured with a few cracks and grass growing up in between. I used a brush tipped artist pen to create the lines so they wouldn't look to crisp. I screwed up the middle doggie's head and was bound and determined to fix it as I had already worked pretty hard on this. I just stamped another one and popped it over the big mess underneath. You know what they say about *never making a stamping mistake....just creating another opportunity*. wink!!! Sounds good doesn't it. Especially when you are almost finished.
I stamped the images and sponged the complete grass and sidewalk area around the images, You may note there is some green skin on the headless lady's leg. I used my favorite Watercolor Minis fern stamp to fill in the grass texture. By the way....Kim gave me her set of Watercolor Minis as she had it out in the for sale box in her garage. I now have a spare to the second one I am working on. I really hated to buy another $19.95 fern stamp but I was going to. Now I don't have to. Anyway....I picked these colors from the color wheel as it gave both chocolate chip and mustard which are both great dog colors. They are mixed also with olive and the brocade blue and the pumpkin just makes it pop. I love my color wheel. I painted all the images with reinker and my blender pen.
There is some pressure to create something wonderful when you are given a gift of stamps from the owner of the company and designer of the images. I fell short on this first attempt with my mess ups but will try very hard to be wonderful on the next set out. I'm running to the new pile of stamps right now!!!

It's been a while since I have been on here at the right time to see one of your fabulous watercolored scenes -- but it was worth the wait. You outdid yourself, absolutely gorgeous.

WOW, Kittie, there you go again! Love the sidewalk! And that headless woman, maybe she's . . . Know Jeanne and she's absolutely delightful to be around. Am sure Sherry and Kim are the same. How lucky you got to meet them all.

This card is fantabulous! Love the colors and couldn't agree more with you about the color wheel!
I love the story about replacing your favorite stamp from the watercolor mini's set. That was a close one - now we all can continue to enjoy the wonderful creations you make using it.

Oh, Kittie! You have brought this stamped image to a whole new level! Love that you did it without the lined frame. And what lady does get some grass stains on her legs when she's walking dogs - especially 3 of them! Fantastic job!
