Beautiful...you said you rub the cardstock on the iron not iron the cardstock. Do you put the iron on low so not to burn your fingers or is it so quick that it doesn't matter?
I just got a new iron...now the old one will have to go into the craft room!!!

If you have new crayons and hold them at the end you shouldn't be burning your fingers. I am very accident prone and I did this without any burns. You can do it!!

I'm still confused, after all your excellent answers, about the step for rubbing the CS( not coloring it)...is the iron unplugged? how do you rub the CS on the foil and not get burned? (also what setting of heat please) Thank you. I always love looking at your cards!

This reminds me of the "stained glass" that we used to make when I was a kid. We would crayon on waxed paper, fold the paper over and iron it. The heat and the melted crayon would stick the paper together and you could see the effect through the waxed paper. Your method would make the colors stand out more rather than the muted effect of the waxed paper.
