This is my convention swap. The colors don't come out right in the scan, but I tried painting in the pot with the Marigold ink and it came out very bright. The apricot appeal matched better.
Question: Has anyone figured out how to get scratch and sniff coffee aroma?

This is the instructions for coffee scented embossing powder from the Nov 2004 Paper crafts magazine. Combine embossing powder (Glassy Glaze) and ground coffee. You must use larger granule type embossing powder for this to work (embossing enamel or UTEE) The fine granules in regular embossing powder will slide under the bigger coffee granules and will not work. Embossing enamel has granules the same size as the coffee grounds. You can also take instant coffee granules, grind them to a powder and mix with UTEE.
Another way to get the coffee smell is to make coffee paper.
Make coffee paint by making strong coffee with hot water, mix and allow to cool. The cheap instant coffee works best. Paint the cooled paint onto the paper and allow to dry. You can further enhance the piece by dropping paint onto the paper with a dropper this gives you a watermark effect. Drop a few granules onto the wet paper-they will dissove and create areas of concentrated color. The stronger the coffee paint, the darker the effect will be. Try the paint on different coloured and textured papers for a different effect. Coffee paper smells wonderful and gives a very aged effect. Hope this helps.

Thankyou "Radvolks" for the instructions. I did try the Glassy Glaze, ground the instant coffe fine - but it doesn't seem to work as well as the Kool-aid technique. I had to press the "still tacky" glassy glaze into the coffe to get any "smellable" amount onto my paper.
I'm off to try the painting technique. Thanks again!
