This week the Tea Party is headed to Dennis' home to help him celebrate a milestone birthday -- 80! He has many and varied interests and I went with his love of blue and cars. I asked my hubby to pick which car stamp out of my collection and he went with the 'Vette -- of course. He also told me they were usually white or red back then (and he was around to know), so I went with the white.
I started by ink blending an hombre bg then sprinkled with water. Embossed the 80 with the dies. Added the die cut/embossed hexagons and the fussy cut car. I didn't plan this design out and just did what I did as I did it. Hence, there really wasn't a good place for a sentiment strip. I wanted to say "Eat my Dust, Sucker"; but he's just getting a big embossed 80 instead.
I have no doubt that Dennis will have a fabulous celebration with his family and friends and I hope the many fun Tea Pot cards headed his way will add to the festivities. Hope you are having a festive day too. TFL

Fantastic! The BG is so clever with the embossed 80 and the embossed "medal" die-cuts. The Corvette is the star. Excellent masculine card!

Fab watercolor background! Great car image on those silver diamond-plate hexagons!
