Welcome to our September TeaPotter Swap. I am so excited to host a Hat challenge. Please join us with your favorite style, be it a truckers hat, tiara, swimmers cap, beanie, helmet, cowboy hat, a Sunday go to meeting...smile. I went fancy first...but will definitely be back with another card!
Do you love serendipitous moments? Do you recognize them as they happen or recall them down the road? Here's some of my moments with this card.
Going Out in Style. I had never seen this Stampin Up set until a trip to St Vinnies. It is long retired, but from the gallery it was a popular set. Thrifty price of $2.40 never inked or put on the blocks.
Finding a pack of crown brads thrifting. 4 left from the original 6. .50
And a tiny bird feather found in my back yard.
This A Colorful Life Stencil 'Maggie' was stenciled with 4 shades of Chalk Box Inks. I fussy cut a piece of the One Canoe Two 'Saturday Morning' floral print. Scored the leaves and stitched knitting yarn down the centers. Added the netting which was white and I colored with a Copic. Did you happen to noticed the 'Crown'? The feather is nestled in the leaves.
The beautiful border paper is from the My Mind's Eye Glitter paper set.
Thanks for hanging with me. Hope you enjoy looking at all the stylish hats we'll bring to the gallery today.

I DID notice the crown even before reading down. I was trying to look at all the details on that amazing confection. I tended not to like more than a simple flower on my hats, but I do love the more elaborate ones and this one should get Best Dressed Lady at the show. Fab border, too.
