It's my pleasure to be your hostess in the Color Challenge this week. I've picked some bright, festive colors that I hope you'll enjoy: Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Highland Heather. The dessert option is "sparkle."
This turnabout stencil is as much fun as the Concord & 9th turnabout stamps, and even easier to use. I blended the ink on 3 separate turns, resulting in this fun confetti background.
I did learn one lesson while making this card, though. I've heard people say you don't need to wash your blender brushes--just rub them on paper towel until no more color comes off. Um, no. The brush I used for my Granny Apple Green must have had some very dark green left on it, even after I rubbed and rubbed, because my Granny Apple Green confetti circles look like Mossy Meadow to me. So OK, let's call it Mossy Meadow, a permitted neutral, and get on with the fun!
I stamped the balloon string in Granny Apple Green. Stamped the greeting with VersaMark ink, then heat embossed in white on Granny Apple Green ombre DS paper and die cut. I popped the balloon up on foam tape and added a few sparkle enamel dots and rhinestones for dessert.
I must acknowledge that this card is my color interpretation of a card made and demonstrated by Cathy Zielske in a class I took several months ago.
I hope you have fun playing with these bright and cheerful colors this week. They are perfect for a card of celebration!

What a fun celebration card! Love the polka dots in these colors! (And I agree with you .... I wash my brushes when finished ... I don't like to be surprised when I'm on a roll!) :-)
