I have been working for hours on two putzy cards, but I'm happy with the results. This was putzy because I don't think ahead enough to use double sided sticky paper on all diecuts.
This is for this week's colors, the teaparty for Tricia and today's sketch, very loosely. I smooshed and painted the gorgeous grape and pacific point, very watered down for the background and then much stronger for the flowers. I wanted some dimension to the flowers so I just glued down the inside edges. Used gel pens for the centers and some Liquid Pearls for a white accent. The green leaves were cut from some white cs that I sponged the pear pizzaz on. By then I was smart enough to add some sticky paper to the back. I do have six elements on the card for the sketch.

I like the way the flowers are the same tones as the background. Is tone the right word - to me hue is saturation, so maybe that's what I actually mean. I really like the extra leaves stuck on the base layer, and the open white space. I usually find that things don't cut as well with the double-sided, so although I often think of it, I usually pass on the idea . I'm glad it works better for you.
But if you had sticky on the back of all those flowers, you wouldn't have the beautiful big ones popping off the page! Love the depth of color and soft wash you created. Putz on!

Lol, I seldom think ahead either to do the sticky paper. I have tons but am I using it? Not so much, lol. When I forget, sometimes I use a dot runner and it works quite well.
Love your idea of watering down and then full strength. This is lovely, Jean!
