This is my sample for LeAnn's pretty Color Challenge. She selected Real Red, Pool Party and Petal Pink. The dessert option is flowers.
I stamped this image of flowers in a jar on watercolor paper. Then, I watercolored the flowers with Petal Pink on the tips of the petals, the Real Red in the middle, leaving some white in between. I do not know what kind of flower is represented here or if they could be colored this way, but I liked it. I might have used a little creative license. The leaves are Mossy Meadow which is an approved neutral. The Pool Party is on the jar and around it. I applied Wink of Stella to the jar, around it and on the flower centers; it is so pretty and sparkly, which unfortunately does not show in the photo.
The image is small, so I used the three challenge colors in large cardstock squares that I embossed with different folders. The clip at the top was in my stash and a terrific match for the Real Red. The banners are slid under the clip, but are not glued down. This way I could change the sentiment if needed before I use the card.
I was a little challenged by the color combo at first, but ended up liking it a lot. I hope you will join in and discover what you can create! TFL

Beautiful! Your stamped and watercolor flowers are done beautifully. The color blocking in BG is a creative design. The way you have the headline is superb with the bow/paperclip...

Your blooms in the jar are so sweet, Diane, and perfectly colored! Nice texture in the bg, but what really captured my attention most is the cute clip & bow! Just lovely~
