I never make these backgrounds, but I like the look of them so much. I'm so glad this was the challenge today. I got carried away with my scraps and now have four extra backgrounds for another day. When I thought of these rays of paper emanating from a focal point, I immediately went looking for a baby Jesus stamp. I love this adorable set from Kraftin Kimmie. I stamped Jesus and masked him, so I could stamp Mary behind him. I grabbed gold/yellow/brown scraps for the background and glued them onto a piece of overhead transparency. Then I die cut the whole thing with a stitched frame and popped up with foam squares.

Yay for extra backgrounds stashed away. I love the colours you used, and that image is adorable. It reminds me of an Irish series of short cartoon films based on the nativity - I sent the DVD to my half-sister because I knew she'd love the Irish aspect of them, but then I was never able to get it for myself.
