You need to check out the Featured Stamper this week - kittystamp. She has such an interesting and fun gallery full of 3-D and other fun projects and cards.
I was inspired by lots of things, but especially this Stack and Cut Quilt card:
I needed to make some ATCs using faux sewing so the concept worked well. I turned one of them into a card using the same scraps as th ATC.
I did do faux sewing and a quilt, but I did an extra layer and added a doll and no stamping. I had to cut my doll to fit so I used the rest of her dress to make her some wings which I covered in Stickles to make them magical.
Thanks for the inspiration, Betty and Ardyth!

I just adore this....the bg, the faux stitching, the colors, the beautiful angels and the magical wings. Everything is fabulous -- especially the sentiment.

Hi there, I love this! I am sure that somewhere along the way I saw something 'quilt like' and just recently i had this urge to do that and posted a few recently. I bought a sewing machine last spring, for journal pages detailing and then just started incorporating it into my cards. Your choices of dsp piecing are terrific. I will FAV this one and learn from it, i am not sure my collage/dsp choices aren't too 'matchy matchy'. but i will improve!! thanks for sharing and mentoring and encouraging so many of us. HUGS and happy holidays, Teresa
