This is for FS769 and Jocelyn aka JoBear2 is our featured artist this week. Congratulations, Jocelyn. I enjoyed browsing through all five pages of your beautiful gallery. I finally settled on your Sharing in Your Sorrow card. I was attracted to the simplicity of your clean and simple card with the single tree. I was inspired to use my large pine tree as a single image on my card. I kept the tree theme but changed the tree image. Instead of using one color I chose to apply color to my tree using mini applicators and green and brown ink and created a light blue glow using a blending brush. I finished by applying white embossing paste to the tree branches using a small palette knife. I used a Christmas sentiment instead of sympathy.
I had so much fun making this card. It's been quite a while since I made a card using a stamped image as the main focal point.

I love the texture you added to your stamped tree! I seldom use my embossing paste but you can bet I will be getting it out now! The blue really highlights the lovely form and colour of your tree. So beautiful!

Well your stamping and ink blending are as wonderful as your die cutting. It is a gorgeous stamp and, as Stacy says, you do make it look like it's glowing; but, adding that paste just takes it to a whole new level of gorgeous. Gorgeous-er!
