I made this card for the Teapot challenge by Susan, One4Joy, to make a flower "mosaick" inspired by Mary Delany from 18th century England, who invented mixed media collage. Sabrina posted some of her artwork on the Teapot challenge page, and I can't wait to learn more about her life and art!
I have many different flower dies, but they take extra time to put together, so I usually tend to shy away from using them. I was so inspired by Mrs. Delany's art that I had just had to create a card with my flower dies.
I die cut everything and highlighted the centers of the flower petals. Used a stylus to shape petals and glued it all together. Then, decided to keep the flowers as the focal point, so I used a white die cut background on a white card.
I chose the word, "Faith" as I feel it's what we need right now. Faith in each other, faith in the future and faith in ourselves! Hugs to all!

Well, wasn't it worth the time it took to assemble those! (I know what you mean, though, I have some of TH's funky florals and a few Susan's Garden dies, and they sure do take time, plus some of them are harder to mail. I'll make sure you stay mailing within the US for this ;-). It looks amazing, so realistic with your great shading. It reminds me of pressing flowers when I was little. Nice embossed background, too.

Gracie, these flowers are gorgeous! And so worth all the trouble! This is a wonderful tribute to Mrs. Delany's work and I love that you chose to use a white background instead of black.
