I'm back in Minnesota after cruising in warmer waters and excited to be hosting this week's color combination. I've chosen Rich Razzleberry + Pretty Peacock + Old Olive with vellum as a dessert option.
I used this "Greetings from Minnesota" set which was designed for K & Krafts, (a Moorhead craft store near my daughter's place). I bought it to use the many greetings on envelopes for some of my out of state family members, but as I looked at the pretty images I thought they would be perfect for these colors.
The images were embossed in white on Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored with the challenge colors. I added a scrap of vellum from my stash - one that I had experimented picking up Old Olive ink (that had been applied to an acrylic block, and spritzed) with a piece of vellum cardstock. Reversible Old Olive/Pretty Peacock ribbon helped me hide the adhesive holding down the vellum and anchor the Ladyslipper. A few Pretty Peacock rhinestone polish off the card.
I so hope you can find some time to play along with us this week. I hope to see you in the gallery!

A very pretty card and one that will be special for your family that's from Minnesota. LOVE your watercoloring on the embossed white design. The torn vellum panel is a lovely addition.

Chris, you have used these colors in such a wonderful way today. Wow, I love your sentiment and the white embossed images! Really pretty card with a nice touch of sparkly ribbon~
