Stef's got a soothing color combination for us this week: Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana and tranquil Tide with leaves for dessert. I couldn't resist checking out how this trio would blend together on a background and when I reached for paper to try it on, grabbed a piece of vellum. You have to take a little more care to avoid fingerprints on the vellum edges but I ended up trimming this anyway. This Bonsai tree is from a set that will be retiring soon but it was perfect for fulfilling the dessert option. I stamped it in Tranquil Tide on the vellum and colored it using a Coastal Cabana Marker on the back. I carefully added a little more on the front to brighten it a bit. Lastly, I solved the problem of attaching the vellum to the white by adding a Tranquil Tide frame cut with the rectangle dies. That way I could apply the adhesive just under the frame.

The colors are indeed soothing and your card with an Asian flair with the bonsai tree plays on that so well. Lovely image and blending of bg colors, Chris. A beautiful card.

Another gorgeous ombre-shaded background! Looks super on the vellum, and your little bonsai is the perfect image for this monochromatic card! Reminds me of my daughter's little "tree" she has been growing for almost seven years!
