Anita is this week's hostess for Teapot Tuesday, and if you visit the challenge HERE you'll be able to find out why my card features and owl, and why we are sending our cards to Pat's (pvilbaum) sister. Anita's challenge is very clever and creative, and once my mind got into the right gear I had so many ideas to choose from. But I wanted to use Scripture, so I used my owl and a feathery background, created using the smack down technique - which you can find in TLC639. I used two of the feather stamps and I think three different colours of ink in various browns. I stitched the edges in feather stitch in green.
Stamped the owl on watercolour paper and embossed with clear EP, then coloured with Inktense pencils. I masked her and sponged around her, and then layered her onto a circle of brown card embossed and sanded.

I don't know what this type of owl would be called, but I call it pretty cool, Sabrina! Very nice stitching on the edges and stamped feathers to draw the eye right to this sweet owl~

Thank you so much, Sabrina! This owl is fabulous and the green stitching around the card is an awesome frame! This will be such a thrill for my sis to receive!

Awesome job Sabrina...I love how your mind works and the thought process that went into the making of this card. Everything works! The cookies you used as your inspiration are adorable. A++
