Here is my pearly card. I couldn't quite bring myself to do white on white--I just can't do it as well as others do (I'm looking at you, Sandie). But the extra challenge of using my birth flower (which I was pretty sure must be a rose, but I admit to having to google it), had me using this stamp that a friend gave me and I hadn't used yet. It sure is lovely isn't it? And perfect for my next TLC--Paper Weaving. Some stampers just weaved different DPs for that challenge, but many weaved white paper and stamped and colored the image. I had to try that and it's really neat! I colored it very softly to keep the pearl theme so Jean wouldn't come after me (LOL, Jean!). And then I framed it up with some metallic pearly paper. I think I had a whiter pearly paper, but if I did, I don't anymore. Anyway, I had in mind that this was going to be a June birthday card, but then once I got it together it was just such a lovely sympathy card. I just wish I hadn't gone for that third stamp of the sentiment, because my paper shifted just a bit and now all I can see is that blurry sentiment. Oh, and I added some blingy pearls as dew drops on the rose.
