Our theme today is to bring our own cup....I used an image from a new stamp (Thanks Jacqueline) , colored it with copics and added some backing layers. I love doilies so there's that and one of my favorite trims is some paper lace that I have. Note: the plate in my picture is actually one that my grandma painted probably 100 years ago. Painting china was a popular hobby that women did at that time...I know it was before she was married as her initials on the back were using her maiden name. It's lovely, isn't it?

Your card is just gorgeous Polly! This beautifully colored teacup image will really please Linda, and so will the lovely doily and lace touches. I grew up with a neighbor lady that did china painting and she was really good at it, and I can hear her now because she would be very impressed with this plate your grandmother did too. What a treasure this is and so beautiful after all these years. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful plate with us Polly! Hugs! ~Karen.

Wow Polly! What a lovely card! You have coloured that image so beautifully - love your shading on the petals and cup! The doily looks perfect for an afternoon's tea. Also... that plate...as soon as I saw it I knew it was hand painted. I too have some of my grandmother's hand painted candy dishes and platters. She also put her initials on the bottom and it is her maiden name. What great treasure these are. Thank you for sharing!
