This is for the Featured Stamper Challenge honoring Amisjag. Her gallery is wonderful and full of inspiration. I especially loved Barb's design on this pretty one. Her fussy cutting is amazing and she cut even more to add in tulips.
Instead, I used a stitched die-cut rectangle since I wanted to keep the sentiment. I changed the layering a little and used different colors for the Color Challenge. First, I stamped the image in Basic Gray and watercolored it. I used Mossy Meadow as a neutral as categorized by SU! Also, I used Smokey Slate on the newspaper as a lighter shade of Gray. I added some dimension on the flowers & stems/leaves with pencils when it was dry. Then I die-cut and matted on Basic Gray cardstock. After the card was put together, I went over the flowers with Wink of Stella and a big blob came out. I had to spread the WOS everywhere I could! It is now very sparkly.
Barb's trim is so delicate & pretty. My card is going to my Mother in law, who shares her yarn scraps with me. I found all three challenge colors in the yarn scraps, so I braided them for a unique trim and let them fray a little on the ends.
The Color Challenge dessert was use a tag, so I trimmed a pre-stamped sentiment and attached it as a tag to make a thank you card that is so fitting for my loving & kind MIL. Linking to the Free4All Challenge to make a thank you or New Year card.
Thank you Barb for sharing your wonderful cards with us and inspiring mine today! TFL

This is such a beautiful card Diane done in such gorgeous colors too! I adore the yellow polka dot paper and the wonderful braided trim you created too. You truly were inspired by Barb's lovely inspiration card. This is going right into my favs! ~Karen.
Really wonderful! I knew right away which card you picked. Great CASE! Love your colors and layers. I recognize that yellow, it's one of my favorites. If it is the same one, it's from Hobby Lobby.
