Lisa challenged us to use burlap on our cards today. Great opportunity to make a masculine card. This is for my Uncle Steve's birthday on Sunday. He likes to build birdhouses in his woodshop in the cellar. I found this fun image from Bugaboo and I used SC90 which was very Polaroid picture-ish. I have a little birdhouse stamp that a friend gave me when she decided she wasn't going to be doing any more stamping (WHAT?). So I stamped two of the birdhouses and fussy cut them and added them to the scene. As a little burlap bonus, I embossed the background red paper with burlap--you can see the pattern very lightly.

Jen, what a fantastic image and a perfect one for someone who makes birdhouses! Love the burlap with black stripes! Happy birthday to your Uncle Steve!

What you have a friend that is not going to stamp any more? Say it is not so! Totally love the fun image and super scene you created and I am sure your uncle will love this card. That burlap is great with the large dots. I have a burlap with a green stripe that I need to use and this is inspiring me to pull it out for a card. Thank you so much for joining the challenge.
