Better late than never, this is for Miss Lisa's fun Teapot challenge - send some laughter to Leann, who recently broke her leg.
I made a card for Leann 2 days ago, DH asked if it was for a Teapot friend. I told him that I didn't know the lady...he suggested that a floosy lying on the floor singing one tequila, two tequila, three tequila FLOOR may not be appropriate humour for someone who doesn't know me. Back to the drawing board.
Yesterday I received the most wonderful 'Tickle a Teapotter" card from Susan (One4Joy) and a fabulous stash of goodies and super funny stamp sentiments. As soon as I read this sentiment, I knew exactly what to create for Leann.
This image and sentiment reminds me so much of my childhood. My brothers and I would spend days and days building a billy-cart, then we would prang it in 5 minutes and more often than not, one of us would break a bone.
We were banned from billy-cart riding one summer when my older brother and I both broke an arm in the same accident. We thought it was great and used our plastered arms as pirate swords, unfortunately my younger brothers head connected with one of our plastered arms/swords...he broke his nose LOL. Ahhh we had fun!
Now about my card. I had dreadful trouble with the Smack & Squirt technique. No amount of blending with my foam blending tools would spread the inky water properly. Then I realised that as I hadn't used the foam tools in 6 months, they had dried out. A quick squirt of water directly onto the sponge soon fixed the problem.
The kids were printed onto copy paper, coloured with pencils and topped off with some Copics then adhered to the background after I had stamped in the foliage.
Thanks so much for looking. I'm off to post this now.

Susie, this card has so much fun going on--not just the sentiment and image (which I love) but the whole scene. Brought back a lot of memories--like my brother and I jumping off the roof. Fun, fun, fun.
