I made this card for this week's Alphabet Challenge for the letter O. The O in my card is for Orange. We had a very large orange cat for 17.5 years and he was such a love. Could that boy ever tear up the house playing with my yarn so I made this card in memory of our dear Julio. The way this kitty die cuts gives you positive and negative pieces so I was able to make 2 cats then. I sprinkled color burst powders over a piece of watercolor paper and sprayed it generously with water, then set it aside. Once dry, I sprayed Elmer's spray adhesive over this water colored piece and immediately poured glitter over it and set it aside to dry for a bit. Once Dry, I die cut a kitty image. Then I die cut another kitty image from orange polka dot dsp. I took the positive pieces form the watercolor paper and added them to the orange dsp and vice versa so one cat die is mostly sparkly with orange polka dot inserts and the other one is this one. Fun! I used a flower image from the water color mini's set to add leaves to the tree in this stamped image. I sponged color onto the ground and sky and used copic markers to color the birds. This card was a lot of fun to make and I enjoyed the happy memories I have of my big orange boy. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.
