This old jalopy birthday card is for my brother, whose hobby is restoring old cars and pickups to a thing of beauty. I am able to enter my card into several SCS challenges as follows:
1. Alphabet Challenge, Round 8, Letter J - DD8ABC10J - 10/18/17. (I'm still playing catch-up with four more to go!) J for JALOPY, with the double challenging requiring the use of Quadrille or grid paper, which I used as a mat layer and on my sentiment flag.
2. Free for All Challenge F4A424 - 4/6/18...."Duuuuuude." Make a masculine card. My jalopy card for my brother is definitely masculine!
3. Teapot Tuesday MMTPT507 - 4/10/18..."Show Your Love". It's National Sibling Day...make a card to show your sibling love...use an image that reminds you of them. As my brother restores beat up jalopies to their original beauty, I thought this jalopy card would be perfect for him.
4. Inspiration Challenge IC646 - 4/21/18..."The Smithsonian Institute." Under the "America on the Move" collection, which discusses the history of vehicle transportation in the U.S., and under pickup trucks, it features a beautifully restored, blue, 1949 GMC pickup. My idea for a blue truck color works perfectly, though my truck depicts a jalopy truck in need of restoration. This is the link: http://amhistory.si.edu/onthemove/co...object_14.html.

Sharp masculine card, Carlene! Love the woodgrain and burlap ribbon with the jalopy. The blueprint pp for the sentiment ties in perfectly. I think I've got that paper too
