I needed more cards for my 2018 Send a Smile stash and Angie's Inspiration Challenge was the perfect motivator to get me started. When I saw this inspiration image, I immediately thought of the Taylored Expressions quatrefoil die that I bought (gulp!) years ago and never got around to using. I thought it would pair nicely with another, more recent, NBUS Altenew peony set and my NBUS Altenew ink cubes.
The hardest part of the card was trying to figure out the peony - methinks the set should come with instructions for stamping. In the end, I die cut from Bazzill Diamond Bling scrap and used the negative space and my MISTI to align the various layers. Before stamping each layer, I inlaid my cut image back in the space. Worked like a charm. I did the same with the leaves.
Cut panels of green and diamond Bazzill bling cardstock slightly smaller than my card base. Used glossy accents to attach the die cut quatrefoil to the green panel. Used my favorite MFT square in&out dienamics to cut an opening in the white panel to allow the quatrefoil to be seen. Layered onto card.
Die cut a few "blank" peonies to add some height to my peony. Positioned and adhered the leaves and flower.
Stamped/embossed the MFT "HELLO THERE" sentiment to a scrap of black Bazzill cardstock and die cut. Die cut a second "blank" rectangle to add some depth. Adhered to card.
With all the bling and texture from the Bazzill cardstock, I really didn't think I needed to add any other embellishments.
I must say, even though greens and purples aren't colors I gravitate to, I am happy with how this ended up. And I'm so happy to have actually used a few more of my NBUS products.

Yea!!! You used your Peony stamp!!!! And it's beautiful! I just love the lattice bg - what a perfect way to set off the pretty flower! And using the negative space in the MISTI is how I do it too, so slick!!! Faved! And I look forward to the next one!

Debbie, this is beautiful! I like your color choices and the quatrefoil "grille" is stunning. The entire card is beautifully designed. I hear you about some multi-layer stamp images that need instruction or a point to "key" into.
