Pam is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a lovely combo, featuring one of the new In Colors. The palette is Fresh Fig, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi, with the dessert option of Sequins.
I thought this week's colors lent themselves to Halloween, which gave me a chance to use my new set from MFT, Fab-BOO-Lous! So Cute, especially that sentiment! And sequins always suggest a shaker card to me. I made the background for the window using Distress Oxide inks. I wish you could see it better: I really like how it turned out.
I am not unhappy with this card, but I learned something that I'll use in the future. I laid out the frame with the little Hallowe'en kids tucked in the corners of the windows, but didn't think about what would happen when I glued the window sheet on. Yikes! No way to tuck those cuties between the frame and the window sheet. Darn it! Next time I will remember to tuck them in where I want them, maybe use the Press 'n Seal trick, and then will glue them in place BEFORE adhering the window sheet. The card would be so much cuter that way. As I said, next time!
