It has been awhile since I have had time to finish a card. This is for the WT challenge to use a fav stamp, and for the F4A challenge for something in the garden. The tree is not the fav stamp...the star border is. I colored tge tree awhile ago with sharpies and it was even a little too bright for me. I colored the bg with black sharpie to tone it down....warning, make sure you have more patience than a fruit fly if you are going to color the entire bg in. I masked the tree and used white ep to heat emboss the stars, and I added a few extra white dots with white acrylic paint. I like to sound like that was part of the plan, but the truth is that heat embossing is way at the bottom of my skill set list and I had to cover up some blotches. TFL, Francie

Oh my goodness Francie this is INCREDIBLE!!!!! I read your description before I saw the photo, it took me a minute to recover from the shock of reading this was a little too bright for you! You are the Queen of Colour Miss Fancie, nothing is ever too bright the way you do it. The embossing looks sensational too. This is a triple WOW card on steroids my dear friend.

I know from experience how tricky white embossing can be - ESPECIALLY on black. I would never had known there were blotches if you hadn't remarked on it - I went back up to see who made the star border cause I am in love with that image - but oops - you don't know either . . . .nuts . . .

What a glorious tree to find in one's garden, Francie -wouldn't that be a treat! Your tree is gorgeous and the black bg did tone it down like you hoped - such great details in this pretty card!! Faved.

Nice to see a colourful Francie card in the gallery!! Your bg must have taken ages to colour, that is patience, and I really love your white embossed favourite stamp!!

Oh my goodness Francie this is amazing! I love the tree and love how you masked it to add your star border. You crack me up with having more patience than a fruit fly to color a BG. Too funny! Amazing card!!!!

You crack me up - your wit always gives me a reason to smile! I used to tell my DH that his father had the attention span of a gnat, but I like fruit fly better. This is so pretty and seriously, you must have a great deal of patience to color all those tiny spaces!
