Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us three lovely colors to work with, Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi. The dessert option is "glitter." I hope you can see that my flower centers have glitter on them!
This card is also for last Friday's Free For All challenge, to use a gem on your card. I used sequins!
I started by stamping the floral spray with Wild Wasabi ink on Bristol paper, and then colored with Zig markers that match Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi. Then I stamped the splatters with Soft Sky ink. Touched glue to each flower center, sprinkled with glitter. Cut with a stitched rectangle die, matted with Soft Sky, using Perfect Layers tool. The base layer is a top-folding white card. I cut a piece of Irresistibly Yours striped paper, and sponged with Tattered Rose Distress ink with those amazingly wonderful Mini Smoothies sponges. Adhered that to the base, tied the Blushing Bride ribbon, popped up the floral layer, and then added a sentiment with a retired set. And of course, a few sequins to finish it off!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
